The quality system

A check we cannot run is a failure.

12 months, replace or refund

Every supplier claims high standards. Almost none will tell you the number, because a published number can be checked and an adjective cannot. These are ours: five checks on the domain, seven more on the page, nine rules on the order, and the single rule that does most of the rejecting.

Illustrative record. Real thresholds, example prices.

The five checks, and what each one rejects.

Each threshold below carries a candidate that clears it and the rejection it most often produces, because a number on its own tells you nothing about how hard it bites.

1 in 12

Candidates that clear all five. You never see the rest, but you can ask why any specific domain failed.

Threshold

2,000+

Own-locale traffic

Monthly organic traffic in the publisher's own country and language, not global.

Global traffic passes sites with no audience where your client actually sells.

Clears4,180 / mo

German organic, measured against Germany

Rejected310 / mo

92,000 globally, almost none in-market

Example values, to show how the check reads. The threshold above is the rule.

  1. 01Own-locale trafficGlobal traffic, no readers in the market
  2. 02Spam scoreOver 40, or no score available at all
  3. 03RelevanceUnder 40 against this client's topic
  4. 04Operator capFingerprints as a site we already use
  5. 05No rented linksSitewide or footer links on sale

10 of 120 clear all five. That is the 1-in-12 figure quoted everywhere on this site, and it is measured. How the rejections split between the checks shifts by market, so treat the per-check numbers above as illustrative rather than as a published statistic.

Insertions are checked on the page, not the domain.

A strong domain can carry a dead page. For a link insertion the page itself has to earn the placement, so seven further rules apply on top of the five above.

How insertions are placed
  • 01The page is indexed
  • 02The page ranks for 5 or more keywords
  • 03Page-level relevance 50 or above
  • 04Fewer than 3 external commercial dofollow links already present
  • 05In-content placement only, never a footer or sidebar
  • 06The page is at least 90 days old
  • 07Hard cap of 2 LinkTribune links per page, ever, across all clients

The rules

Nine rules. No exceptions, including for us.

Publishing a rulebook is easy. Holding it on the week the numbers are inconvenient is the hard part, so these are applied by the platform rather than by anyone deciding on the day. There is no override, including for us.

  1. 01

2,000 monthly organic visits in the client's own country

Not global. A site with no readers where your client sells does not pass, however large the total.

  2. 02

A check that cannot be run is a failure

No spam score returned means no placement. Unmeasurable is never treated as clean.

  3. 03

Relevance is a number, scored per publisher-client pair

40 out of 100 or it fails. Not “topically relevant”, which is an adjective nobody can check.

  4. 04

One operator cannot be sold to you as ten publishers

Fingerprinted on analytics ids, ads.txt, hosting and template, with a hard cap per operator.

  5. 05

No site that rents sitewide or footer links

Rejected outright. The footprint transfers to whoever buys next, and that would be your client.

  6. 06

Every order carries the reason it was chosen

Which publisher, which topic or page, and why, against your client's budget. You always know the decision. You never have to make it.

  7. 07

Your clients are suppressed from our own outreach, permanently

Enforced in code the moment you register a domain, across every brand we operate. It does not expire.

  8. 08

Twelve months of replace-or-refund, checked weekly

Nine failure states, every week. A report every month whether anything moved or not. Sixty days to index or it is replaced.

  9. 09

Two of our links per page, ever, across all clients

A page is never farmed. The ledger is permanent and applies to every client we have.

Every one of these is on the invoice, in the portal, or in the candidate record. None of them is a sentence on a website that a busy week can quietly revise.

How each check runs

This is what arrives for every candidate

Before we buy anything. Every field is a number you can verify in your own tools in about two minutes, which is the only reason publishing thresholds means anything.

No obligation attached to any candidate we price.

What we will not promise

Five promises you have heard before. We do not make them.

Each of these is something another supplier will offer you, and each is a reason campaigns go wrong quietly. We would rather lose the order than make the promise.

  1. 01

They sayPage one within 90 days.

    Rankings

Nobody controls Google's output. A supplier who promises a position is either guessing or planning something that works briefly and then does not.

  2. 02

They sayTen links for a flat price.

A number of links for a fixed price

Publisher cost varies by a factor of ten across sites with identical metrics. Any flat per-link price is a bet, and the supplier does not lose it.

  3. 03

    They sayAny volume, any market.

Volume we cannot source at the threshold

We cap what we take per market. Loosening the checks to absorb demand is the fastest way to stop being worth using, and it is invisible to you until it is not.

  4. 04

    They sayLive within 48 hours.

    Turnaround we have not measured

Delivery estimates come from that publisher's own history with us, not from a marketing figure. A publisher with no history with us does not get a fast badge.

  5. 05

    They sayPermanent links, guaranteed.

    That nothing will ever fail

Links get removed and pages get deindexed. We monitor for it and carry it for twelve months, which is a different and more honest promise.

    What we do promise

    • Five published checks on every candidate, with the numbers.
    • The reason written on every order before it is placed.
